How we handle your data

• Assessment answers (including the optional personal questions): these relate to your health, which is special category data under the GDPR. We process them only with your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)), given by the checkbox before the assessment starts, and only to generate your report. Until you request a report, they exist only in your browser and are not sent to us. After your report is generated, your individual answers are deleted; we retain scale totals and bands inside your report record for as long as the report exists.
• Optional seven-day browser copy: when you request the free report, you can choose to keep a separate copy of your answers in that browser so you can add the €14 Assessment Ready Pack without taking the screening again. It does not include the first name or email address entered for report delivery. It does include any details you typed in the optional answer boxes. Do not choose it on a shared or public device. You can delete it at any time from the upgrade page, and clearing your browser data also removes it. A browser cannot delete data while the site is closed, so after seven days the copy is removed when ADHD Mind next opens in that browser. If you later buy the pack, the answers are sent once to build a fresh full report and pack, then deleted from our server again.
• Informant contributions (Assessment Ready Pack): if you invite someone, the words they type are used once to generate the appendix document and are not otherwise stored. They are told, before they write anything, that you will read every word.
• Order details (name, email, product, payment status): standalone ebook purchases need no assessment answers. Ebook download links work for 12 months and use a private payment-session link to verify access. Order details are processed to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)). If you start a checkout and do not finish it, we may send you one email about that unfinished order and no more, on the basis of our legitimate interest in completing a purchase you began (Article 6(1)(f)); reply and we will not contact you again. Payment card details go directly to Stripe; we never see them. Basic order records are retained for up to six years as required by Irish tax law, but never the content of your answers or reports.
• Email addresses for our list: with your consent, to send your result, a link back to an assessment you saved, resources you request, and (only if you tick the separate optional box) occasional ADHD Mind emails. We store your email and the fact that you took the screening, never your individual answers, which are deleted once any report is created. Reply “unsubscribe” to any email and we stop immediately.
• Technical data: our analytics are cookie-free and aggregate (pages viewed, country, device type); they cannot identify you. We also keep anonymous daily counters (for example, how many people finished the free check that day). We may split a total by one broad entry path, such as the homepage, two-minute check or Google Ads page. The entry label stays on your device for up to 30 days so a resumed screening keeps the same source. We do not store campaign values or Google click IDs. The database holds bare daily totals, with no identifier and no link to any person, answer, score, name or email address. Standard server logs exist briefly for security.

The preparation tool is separate from the screening. With your explicit consent, the notes you enter are saved in that browser tab. You can optionally keep a draft on a private device for 30 days from its last visit or edit. This may include health information. Do not enable device saving on shared or public devices. Closing a tab can remove its draft, although some browsers restore tabs and their storage. Use the delete control when you want to remove it.

You can delete the draft at any time in the tool, or by clearing browser data. An expired device copy is removed when you next open the preparation tool; the browser cannot remove it while the site is closed. Your private purchase link restores access to downloads, not notes on a different browser.

Only when you separately consent and request a PDF is your edited summary sent securely to our server. It is processed in memory to make that download, and is not saved in the database, emails, analytics or application logs. We process any health information in it with your explicit consent, solely for this export. Your downloaded files remain under your control. The ebook download does not send your notes. Anonymous daily counts record starts, summary creation, checkout and downloads, without their contents.

• Individual assessment answers: deleted at report generation, or after 2 days if a checkout is abandoned.
• Optional upgrade copy on your device: usable for up to 7 days and removed when ADHD Mind next opens after that point, or sooner when you use the delete control or clear your browser data.
• Reports, appendices, scale totals and download links: deleted 30 days after a free report, or 12 months after an Assessment Ready Pack purchase.
• Informant invite links: expire and are deleted with the related report, after 12 months for the Assessment Ready Pack.
• Order records (no health content): up to 6 years, for tax and accounting law.
• Email list entries: until you unsubscribe.
